Co-fermenteing with a small amount of Viognier adds a lovely floral note to the richness of the Syrah, giving it great complexity. Intensity in flavor and bright acidity make it a wonderful wine at the dinner table and to hold for another 5+ years.
Showing great fruit intensity and richness, this has become one of my favorite wines I have made. The red and black fruit flavors hide the tannin structure and oak so they stay in the background. Drinking wonderfully now and should improve for another 10 years.
A blend of different Syrah clones and vineyard sites, this is a medium bodied wine that elegant and showing lovely floral notes with lots of red fruit and then a wonderful middle palate sweetness and graceful tannins.
A fresh and harmonious blend showing Cabernet’s lovely cassis and mulberry fruit notes, with a sweetness and richness from the Syrah. The perfrct wine to drink now with bigger meals or can be aged for up to 10 years.
Showing lovely Cabernet fruit flavors with a middle palate richness from the Syrah that cries out for a good steak or something grilled. Drinking very well now, it should continue to evolve for another 5-7 years.
A mountain Napa Cabernet full of the brushy notes of Mount Veeder but made in my style of less alcohol and less oak than seems to be in vogue. A wine that will age wonderfully,
A wonderful dessert wine showing lots of tropical fruit and crisp acidity to balance the sweetness. Perfect for a warm summer evening.
Inspired by the French Muscat de Beaumes de Venise, the fermenting juice is lightly fortified with a neutral grape spirit to keep it sweet. Perfectly paired with a dry cheese after a meal.
This Port is very much in the same mold as previous years though, perhaps just a little sweeter and richer than the ’14 version although that sweetness is balance by cleansing tannin and acidity.
My version of this dessert wine is made from Viognier juice fortified with pure grape alcohol. The base wine was made in 2007 and the wine is aged in older French oak barrels in the traditional Spanish Solera method.
