The estate Syrah has shown that it deserves to be bottled separately, as it is a wonderful example of Syrah from here on the Estate vineyard. The 2021 wines were uniformly excellent, perhaps Nature’s payback for the devastation brought by the 2020 fires, and this is no exception. Dense color and great fruit are the hallmarks, and it seems to hide the structure of the wine.
Sonoma Reds is our very popular everyday red wine. Grenache and Zinfandel are the main players but smaller quantities of all that I make go into the blend. Case discounts of 25% apply and this wine can be mixed with the NV Shiraz to make up the case.
Made from Estate grown grapes, this blend is based on the Zinfandel grown on the hillside at the back of the property bringing bright berry flavors with Petite sirah added for color and structure and Grenache for acidity and red fruit. I strongly recommend this wine with any grilled foods over Summer, and it should keep its fruit and intensity for another 4-5 years if you have patience and cellaring space. I think it is a lovely tribute to those old pioneers in the California wine industry who worked so hard to establish this wine region.
The Rossi Syrah is usually the biggest of my Syrah wines and is kept longer in bottle before release for that reason. It is my last release from 2022 and the extra time has allowed the wine to showcase the meaty and gamey side of the Syrah grape. It will be at its best with more sturdy meals and will continue to hold up for another 8+ years for those with cellar space.

After 10 years of figuring out the best way to farm and pick our Viognier block, this is our first ever 100% varietal Estate Viognier!
The 2025 Rosé is a refreshing and light wine with its’ strawberry and pink grapefruit flavors. Perfect for any season to be chilled and paired with chicken, salads, and other light dishes. Will be at its best over the next 12-18 months.
The Cuvée Ellen label, a tribute to my grandmother Ellen is made from fruit grown here in Glen Ellen. The first Ellen Syrah was made in 2007, also with more restrained Syrah components, and that blend continues to show well today. This is a lovely wine that can be enjoyed now but should continue to improve for another 5-8 years. This wine is medium bodied, elegant and with lots of cherry fruit flavors and spice.
This non-vintage Shiraz is a barrel selection of wines from the various Syrah programs that has been bottled separately coming from 2021 & 2022, all chosen for having plenty of flavor and character. Club members will recieve 25% off for a case.
Just 1 barrel is put aside each year to age for 10 years. The current version is based upon the 2015 Syrah vintage style Port, just one barrel produced, bottled, and labeled by hand. (375 ml)
